Your Hair Could Be Weirder: Meet the Gothic Hair Forks
There are perfectly normal ways to put your hair up. This is not a website dedicated to perfectly normal things.
So instead, how about a raven? Or a ram skull? Maybe a death moth. Perhaps the moon.
You have options.
One of my favorite things about running 3DChaos is that the printer doesn't particularly care what category something belongs in.
Fidget toys? Sure. Tattoo studio equipment? Fine. Tiny creatures? Obviously.
Gothic hair accessories? Apparently we're doing that too!
The Gothic Hair Pins/Forks are 3D printed in PLA and then painted by hand, turning a very simple hair accessory into something that looks a little more like it escaped from somebody's curiosity cabinet.
Which is considerably more interesting.
Pick Your Particular Flavor of Weird
There are currently several designs, so this isn't one of those situations where “gothic” means somebody put a tiny skull on something and called it a day.
You can choose from: Tree, Moon and Gems, Ram Skull, Heart Flames, Cat, Sun and Moon, Raven, Moon, or Death Moth.
So you can go celestial, creepy, nature-inspired, slightly ominous, or “there is a raven sticking out of my hair and I see absolutely no problem with that.”
Personally, I respect all of these choices.
3D Printed Doesn't Have to Look Like a Toy
People tend to picture brightly colored plastic dragons and articulated toys when they hear “3D printed.”
And yes, my printers have produced their fair share of tiny plastic creatures. Several may have escaped.
But the same process can make decorative pieces, functional objects, accessories, and things that don't immediately scream THIS CAME OUT OF A 3D PRINTER.
The added hand-painted details on these are part of what makes them especially fun. Because they're individually printed and finished, little variations are expected rather than a flaw.
They're not factory-perfect clones. I think that's better.
For the Person Who Already Owns Enough Normal Hair Accessories
They're also conveniently gift-shaped.
If you know someone whose aesthetic could reasonably be described using words like gothic, spooky, celestial, alternative, dark academia, or has strong opinions about ravens, this may be considerably safer than trying to guess what perfume they wear.
Or you can buy one for yourself. You don't actually need an occasion.
We strongly support unnecessary raven purchases around here.
The Gothic Hair Pins/Forks are available now at 3DChaos and Bloody Wolf Tattoo Supply in multiple designs. Normal hair accessories will undoubtedly continue to exist elsewhere.
